Imada Ultra Rigid Force/Displacement Tester: instrument description

The IMADA FSA-1KE Force/Displacement Tester is a complete test system which can be configured for a number of applications requiring both force and displacement measurement. These integrated test systems combine the capabilities of EMX series test stands with FA sensor and ZTA series gauges. The FSA-1KE series features a high speed distance meter. In conjunction with the force gauge, this tester can output up to 2,000 data per second. With the auto start displacement feature, the gauge will only record displacement after a certain force value has been reached.

Numerous Programming Options

The tester features a number of different configurable test parameters. Some parameters include: digital speed set for start, test and return speeds, test force values (high/low setpoints), force holding duration, auto displacement start at certain force, number of cycles

Operation Modes

The FSA-1KE Integrated Force & Displacement Testers features 3 operating modes: Manual mode, Jog mode and Cycle mode. Manual mode allows manual control of the carriage at a set speed. Jog mode allows the user to use the program dial to move the gauge very small increments (depends on model). Cycle mode allows the user to easily setup cycle tests.
Force Control Operation

Force controlled non-destructive tests are also easy to setup and program. The FSA-1KE Integrated Force & Displacement Testers also has Conditional Overload Prevention. Force control allows users to program the test stand to move until a certain force value is reached. For more information see the force control tab below.
